Ghetto Vader, Bin Grim, Jake Smith – DEATHSTARR BROS. PRESENTS THE BOOTLEGGER
In the hills of Silverlake, Jake Smith was working with me on a future solo project and in the middle of that process he had an idea to link me up with another artist he was working with while he and I took some downtime with my project. He mentions the Uncanny Bx Ny bred Ghetto Vader. I heard what Jake was producing with him and he beseeched me to add a voicedrop to the first song, then a 8 bar cameo to the second song and then a full verse to the 3rd. Ghetto Vader visits L.a. He lives here just to record a full project and l finally meet this cat. We easily got along and the chemistry between the three of us gave way to 27 joints. NY TO LA ish. No rules. Bangin Bronx Beats by Ghetto Vader. Silverlake Cali Production by Jake Smith. Emcee Labor from all three of us. A Sunni Muslim, a 5 Percenter and a once Drifter of The High Plains came together to make Hip Hop music Hi Def, Lo Fi and Sci Fi. Offering solid rhymes, silly nostalgic interlude-like songs and stream of consciousness ramblings that weave this project together that sometimes actually skip or glitch in certain places. With odes to Rakim, Greg Nice and Ultramagnetic Mcs.
