Lee Blackman is a Jamaican-American hip hop producer based in Queens, New York. She began making beats at the age of 14, moving to New York City to pursue music production full time interning at various recording studios to further her production skills.
Lee Blackman’s sample based sound blended with vintage synths ranges from smooth, jazzy and soulful melodies to raw, dark and hardcore styled beats spanning different genres boom bap, neo soul, RnB, trap and dancehall. The equipment’s used are interchangeable from the MPC 2500, Roland SP-404SX, Maschine Mikro M1, Novation Mininova with other analog synths, with Ableton Live as the anchor.
She is currently working on collaborative projects with other artists.
